PumpFlex UK – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Who we are
PumpFlex UK is a free mobile app and website (pumpflex.co.uk) that helps drivers find nearby fuel stations and EV charge points and compare prices. It is developed by Sara Brachetta, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, who is responsible for the data described in this policy.

PumpFlex UK has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We never sell or share data with anyone.
Location (GPS)
With your permission, the app reads your device location to show fuel stations and EV chargers near you. Your coordinates are sent securely to our database provider (Supabase) only to run the search and are not saved by us.
You can refuse or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings and search by postcode or town instead.
Searches
When you type a postcode or town, the text is sent to postcodes.io, a free public service, to find its coordinates. We do not store your searches.
Preferences
Your vehicle type, fuel type and preferred charger speed are stored only on your device (local storage). Uninstalling the app, or clearing the app data or your browser's site data, removes them. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Community reports
If you report an issue with a station (for example a wrong price or a closed station), we store the station, the type of issue, the price you entered and any comment you write, so that we can keep the information accurate. Reports are anonymous; please do not include personal details in the comment box. Reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Technical logs
Like any online service, our providers (Supabase for the database, postcodes.io for searches, Mapbox for maps and Cloudflare, which hosts the website) may automatically record technical information such as your IP address for a short time, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use this information to identify you.
Map view
When you open the Map view, map images are loaded from Mapbox. Like any map service, Mapbox receives your IP address and the area of the map being displayed, which is needed to show the map. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
Directions
Tapping "Directions" opens Google Maps with the station's location. From that point, Google's own privacy policy applies.
Legal basis
We process the limited data above because it is necessary to provide the features you ask for (legitimate interests under UK GDPR). Access to your location is only ever given with your permission through your device settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. In practice we hold no data that identifies you, but you can always write to [email protected].
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Prices and safety
Prices come from official and open data sources and may differ from those shown at the pump or charger. EV tariffs marked "UK average" are estimates. Always check the price before refuelling or charging, and never use the app while driving.
